TOUR PROGRAMME

DAY 1: MARMARİS-ÇEŞME TRANSFER-ÇEŞME-SAKIZ CATAMARAN CRUISE-SOUTH ISLAND TOUR- ARMOLİA-PİRGİ-MASTİCHORİA VILLAGES-HOTEL

We meet you, our valued guests, at 02:00 at Eşref Girginç Park (opposite LC Waikiki) and set off towards Çeşme Port, the departure point of Çeşme - Chios voyages.
We reach Çeşme Ulusoy Port at 08:30 in the morning and after ticket and passport controls, we move to the island with our ferry that will depart at 09:20. After our journey, which will take about half an hour, we reach the island and meet our guide. After the customs procedures, we load our suitcases to our waiting vehicle and after the passport procedures of all guests are completed, we start our South Island Tour in line with the information of our guide.  Within the scope of our South Island tour programme, we will be visiting the villages of Armolia, Pirgi and Mesta, which are also protected by ‘Unesco’ of Chios.

Our first stop on our tour will be the village of ARMOLIA, famous for its handmade ceramics for hundreds of years. Here we will get to know the famous mastic gum trees that give the island its name and listen to very interesting information about this miracle of nature from our guide. Then we will take a small break to visit one of the famous ceramic workshops. Our next stop will be the village of MESTA, which has preserved its architectural structure the best among the many medieval castle-villages on Chios. It takes us on a journey back in time to the 13th century when it was built. Moving through the labyrinthine alleys, we reach the square in the centre of the village and take a break. During this break, our guests can taste the island's natural ice creams, frappe, the famous coffee of the Greeks, or Fig Raki (Suma) produced only in Chios. After visiting the church of Taksiarchis, we leave the village. Our next village will be PYRGI village, which is unique in the world with its geometric shapes on the houses. Our guide gives us detailed information about this technique called Ksista, which has been practised for centuries since the Genoese. After seeing the house where Christopher Columbus stayed in Chios (although many people call it a rumour, almost half of the people living in the village have the surname
Kolombos :) We are moving for lunch.
After lunch in a delicious tavern by the sea, we move towards our hotel to rest and gather energy for the evening entertainment. (CHIZ ISLAND ACCOMMODATION) Morning Star Hotel

At 20:30 we meet at the hotel lobby and go to the tavern where we will have dinner with live Greek music, unlimited ouzo and wine. Our guests can continue to sirtaki and break plates until the early hours of the morning. (Optional Tour - Greek Night)

OPTIONAL GREEK NIGHT: At the Greek Night, which will take place in one of the popular taverns of the island, we will be entertained with ‘Live Greek music’. In this special night, which includes a seafood menu and unlimited drinks, we will be collecting beautiful memories.
FEE: 50,00 € (Transfer-dinner-dinner-unlimited drinks included)
DAY 2: VILLAGE OF THYMNIA- MOSTRA CARNIVAL FREE TIME-PORT OF CHIOS-CRUISE TO CESME-TRANSFER TO CESME-MARMARIS

After breakfast at our hotel, we complete our check-out procedures and meet our guide at the lobby at 10:30 (local time) and start our Mostra Carnival tour.

First of all, accompanied by our guide, we move towards Thymiana Village where the Carnival will take place. Thymiana is one of the big and beautiful villages of Chios, famous for its red decoration stone. The Church of Agios Efstritos in its centre is one of the centres of the carnival.
The carnival history of Mostra goes back centuries, to the Middle Ages, when pirates roamed the Aegean. On a Sunday when the people of Thymiana, a village close to the city, were having fun, pirates attacked the island. The people, who learnt that the pirates were coming, were tired of the pirate attacks they were frequently exposed to, and with the enthusiasm of the fun, they gathered the courage to fight the pirates and fought them. This time the villagers defeated the pirates and with the excitement of being the victor of the battle, they Mostralised the pirates there; in other words, they ‘hanged’ them. And every year, in order not to forget what happened, this meaningful day representing unity and solidarity started to be celebrated.

Mostra Day is celebrated by the islanders and especially the people of Thymiana as a fun fair where all kinds of costumes and masks are used with medieval clothes and all kinds of costumes and masks, in the atmosphere of a local festival with various treats. One of the most entertaining parts of the carnival are the ‘Talimi’ folk dances, in which the struggle between the pirates and the islanders is re-enacted.
We will watch this Carnival, which the hospitable Chios people have made more fun, together and we will have lunch break in this village square. At the meeting time specified by our guides, we return to our vehicle and move to Chios harbour. After a short journey, we return to Çeşme harbour and make our entry procedures to our borders again. Afterwards, we meet our vehicle waiting for us at the harbour and reach Marmaris at night with the happiness of having had a different experience. We leave you at the points where we pick you up in Marmaris and say goodbye to see you on other tours.
